Is that the 200 grain 45 boolit? I have the same mould and it really cranks them out.

My first thought was, man you aren't going to MOVE that thing!

Great job. I hope you get good results with that design. I am pretty leery of the
mule snot designs, but some folks are reporting good results.

I'm able to lube that boolit in my Luber/Sizer, the only TL boolit I have that does. Aso it's a decent shooter from my 1911.

I've cast and shot some of those, and they worked pretty well with LLA at the sub 1000fps velocities I was running for PPC and IPSC. I've also shot conventional bullets lubed the same way, unsized and had similar results. That said, I just bought a Lee 6 cavity for for the other variety 45-225TC.

What took you so long, I can do that many in an hour! Of course having a 40 lb lead pot helps, no waiting for lead to melt. Nice looking bullets.

I gotta get a six banger that takes me four hours or better to do and that is working at it pretty hard. Every time I cast I think to myself multiply by three with a six banger and get'r'done!

882.61 I can't spot the .61 boolit

It went back for remelting.
I use a LEE 20# bottom pour and my old LEE 10# dipper pot to pre-melt.
When I get about 1 1/2 2 inch's down The 10#has a pot full of molten lead to top it off again.
Help's keep a consistint temp. I find the nozzle freeze's up around 650-670deg.
Also keep's the alloy pretty consistant but then again I only use straight WW for all my casting need's.

It is always good to hear about folks that are succeeding with cast boolits.
We have a lot of reports of problems with LLA lube and TL designs, but I DO
know that some folks are having good success. The big advantage to the concept
is the low entry cost. Back when I was just getting started casting as a really
broke college student, I used a Lee cake cutter and their old 'whack thru' sizer
dies and got good results for low bucks. I was so poor I couldn't afford anything
more, so that slow method was fine - way better than nothing and factory ammo
was WAY out of reach, $$ wise.

Now that I have a bench full of lubrisizers (MANY years later!) I'm not so interested,
and I think it is a pretty marginal system. However, sometimes it is good enough and
the key point (something Lee never forgets!) is that not everybody can afford the
or needs the expensive equipment and huge quantity of production. Sometimes low
cost and modest production gets people going and they get a real benefit, like I did
many years ago - with Lee equipment.

zuke;
Those are NICE looking bullets. It looks like you are well on your way.

I have been thinking seriously of buying a Lee Six Cavity mould in the conventionally lubed bullet of that design.

This is the first but not the last 6 cavity for me.
Get one you wont regret it!
And remember,if you only get 2-3 bullet's the first couple tries at it it's still at least twice as fast as a single and a faster then a double.

a very nice job indeed!!
My 6 cavity is a Lyman, heavy after an hr or two.
