What are the primary differences between a Win 1892 stock and a Win 1894 Stock?

I want to put a Ramline stock on my '92, but it is only available in '94.

I've been told it can be done, but requires some tweaking. What exactly? ANybody know?

I put a Ramline stock on a post 64 Win 94 and I had to open up the forearm with sandpaper and file around the tang area, a bout an hours worth of trial and error,

Same deal with a ramline and Marlin 336, file and trial.
