I'm trying to get my hands on a Puma/Rossi Model 92 in .454 Casull, but can't seem to find them anywhere. I know that LSI is no longer selling Rossi guns under the Puma name as of 2010, but Rossi is still making them. I saw a 20" barreled one on a forum a few days ago but it was sold to someone else. I really would love to have a 16" barreled one if only I knew where to buy it. Is there some sort of problem importing these rifles or what? I honestly cannot find them ANYWHERE.

I've considered getting one in .45 Colt but since I already own a .454 Super Redhawk and don't have any other guns that shoot .45 Colt, I would MUCH rather get the .454 lever gun. It's unfortunate that they are so uncommon and no other company makes them.

Look at the model they use for the .454, the Model 92. That 92 sure is amazing to be able to handle that kind of pressure.

I don't think they make the 16inch barreled ones anymore in the 454, I could be wrong though. I have a 20inch stainless 454 w/hiViz sites and it's a great gun. I see them on gunbroker and at buds guns online.

I believe they stopped making the .454 chambered guns.

I believe they stopped making the .454 chambered guns.

Like I said, Legacy Sports stopped selling Rossi guns under the Puma name, but the Rossi company still manufactures their lever action rifles. The new Puma guns are going to be made by Chiappa, and they do not offer a .454 version. In any case, I managed to score a stainless 20" one on Gunbroker a few days ago, with a Burris 2x LER scope and 50pc brass for $525 shipped. I'm pretty happy about that, although now I gotta fork over another $70 to my FFL for the transfer. :groner:

I have one of the 16" versions in .454:

It is a great rifle now, but required some work to get there.
