If I was to set it up where you could have your own e-mail address from gunloads.com. Who would be interested?
Such as: castfool@gunloads.com or dan@gunloads.com etc.

Sounds as though you are going to be using up a lot of bandwidth, whatever that is. You could set it up using username@gunloads.com and we could figure how to send mail to each other without ever having to publish the addresses. On the other hand with the private message feature do we really need it?

I will definitely be interested. I have a wireless internet connection and they don't furnish email, so all I have is my hotmail address. I have had it for 5 years and it has been great, but I'd like a backup.

You can get Yahoo email if you sign up to yahoo and there's not hidden tricks to signing up. I've had hotmail for almost 15 yrs.

Basically you would get
6 MBs of Storage space
Your own E-mail address username@gunloads.com
Web mail access (check your mail through your browser (Example: Internet Explorer)

This is 1 plan of attack, but probably the way it would be. This wouldnt be setup for a while, it's more of just letting me know who would actually be interested..

Netscape.com also offers free email. Very little problems with spam.

Netscape, in their accepting agreement when installing, has a tracking cookie, that you agree to when clicking ACCEPT, that tracks everywhere you go. One reason I didn't load the new Netscape.

GM, another email address would be ok. What would be really GREAT would be that same 6MB of storage that could be used as FTP space.

I could give members some FTP space... I am not sure many people on here know what FTP space is though :)

Well, everyone might not know what "File Transfer Protocol" is, but I betcha if you were to say, "6 megabytes of space to store pictures online," folks would perk up their ears! <GGG>

Just for pictures:

I actually offer 20MB of storage for pictures and 250MB of bandwidth a month. It allows you to view your pictures, put them in albums and you can add/delete pictures with ease. And it's FREE (unless you upgrade your account)

Joe,
For what it's worth, a couple of points on Netscape and tracking.

1. You do not have to install Netscape on your computer to use their email. All you have to do is type in www.netscape.com on your current browser to get to netscape and click on the mail button to set up an account and/or send and receive email. I don't have netscape installed either, but use netscape email.

2. I don't know about other browsers, but if you are using MicroSoft's Internet Explorer, they are tracking your every move also. A real interesting article about this and how to delete your tracks can be found at www.sillydog.org/mshidden.html.

Like I say, for what it's worth and hope this is of interest.
