A question...It appears that the search function here does not allow boolean logic?...or may I just don't know what I'm doing.

For example...I have tried doing a search for 357 Maximum using both 357 AND Maximum, and 357+Maximum, and I still get a list of results that contains any posts/threads with either word.

I am darn sure not complaining, but I just want folks to understand that "do a search" is not the easiest solution, from what I have seen. it brings up an overwhelming amount of posts/threads.

I have found it easier so far to just go ahead and post my question, and hope that some knowledgeable and patient person here will go ahead and answer my question for the 3000th time, or PM the person with the closest post that matches my search.

If I am not using the search function correctly, please help!

Did you try the advanced search? It could narrow down the options.

Try writing it this way:

"357 Maximum"

WITH the quotes. This means to search for exactly what's between the quotes. Works for most search functions.

I just tried it and you have to use the advanced search and search only for titles. If you search for contents of threads you'll probably get both the ones with it in the title and many other threads with it in the contents.

Make this a sticky or is it already now that I know more about how to search I should check.
