I have a Ruger P345 and I carry it strong side, left handed. I'm looking for one of the newer type carbon fiber or space age plastic holsters. I don't want to settle for passive retention. I want it to "click" in and require being unlocked for draw. I will settle for paddle type but prefer belt type. I'd like to keep it under $40 if possible.

The floor is open.

Post if you find someone who does custom KYDEX holsters.

There was a guy on eBay awhile back, but I misplaced his info/web site. I want a KYDEX strong side (or two) for 5.5 inch Original Size VAQUEROS...have several and they are ideal field guns for me in 357 or 44....especially with some of our better group buy boolits loaded appropriately.

For your Ruger P345 -- $39.99 Outside the pants and clicks into place with retention on barrel and triggerguard.

I used a fobus for a couple years. Never had it fall out, even after I tumbled over an edge while lead climbing. Ugly as sin though... I know the blade tech holsters have a locking mechanism that retains the weapon by the trigger guard and is disengaged by the trigger finger during a proper draw stroke. These aren't much prettier...

THe same type of model worked just fine for my Beretta in Iraq and I took a few tumbles with it as well.

Why the need for a positive lock system? Job related?

Supposedly the Blackhawk Serpa for the Springfield XD full size will fit the Ruger P345. I have and use a Serpa for my HKUSP40 and recommend it to anyone wanting/needing a positive retention holster. See if your local gunshop/outfitters will let you try a Springfield XD holster on for size with your Roogah P345.

IF the gun fits in the Serpa as Trey says it might, then I Highly reccomend them.

Hell, my XD is in my Serpa holster on my hip right now.

Been usin it about 2 years now. Secure as ever.
