over the past yr or so i hav searched for a 45acp round nose 230 gr bullet mould that would allow a long(1.250 or so) oal and feed in both my guns. settled on a lee six hole tumble lube bb 230 rn with a reduced nose dia.....works good.
was at a gun show this last weekend and i guy had a single cavity lyman mould on his table. looked at it and when ...."hmmmmmmmmmmmm". it says 452400 on the box.
cast a couple today to take some measurements off of.
bingo i think we have a winner....
ok it casts a little large 454...bust should size easily. to round lube grooves and a .050 band just above the top groove before the nose starts at a lovely .44 or so. 237 out of ww...hmmmm
gonna go poke a few in cases and see how they cycle and fit...but me thinks this is going off to buckshot for a hollow point conversion!....should be real close to 230 when done.

follow up...seated to 1.250 and chambered, they pushed back to 1.248......so i think is i use 1.247 i'll be good to go......buckshot where are you ???
