I've been messing around with this and playing with several OALs as I can't find any definitive recommendation for it.
Gun is a Ruger Mini-14, which means accuracy will be a challenge enough. I've done some loads 19.0 IMR 4895 and could barely even hit the paper at 25 meters, let alone the black.
This rifle WILL, however, hold a one-inch group at 50 meters with H335 and Winchester FMJ or JSP bullets. So I know the capabilities of the rifle.
I've also loaded the obligatory plinkers with Unique and 2400, and they couldn't even hit the paper at 25 meters.
I'm not a fan of .223 and never have been--military taught me that firsthand. But, I do like to be able to cast and load for every caliber I own, and I own a .223 firearm.
Anyone have (positive) experience with this boolit?
