Spent a very enjoyable couple hours today.I wanted to stock up on some Lee 405 HB for my trapdoor, as spring is coming (hopefully) soon. I forgot how enjoyable it can be to cast when not trying to rush for boolits neede asap and not trying to get the perfect boolit of the correct size and alloy and inspecting all with a magnifier to look for defects so as to squeeze every ounce of accuracy. What a joy to just cast with that old LEE and see a pile of decent boolits start to accumulate. Yaeh, a couple fins here and there or a bad base and just throw them back in the pot. But just had a swell time turning scrap into a good pile of boolits. So I guess I am writing this to say sometimes just relax and keep it simple and enjoy yourselves. Don't get caught up in all the tips and tricks you MUST apply to every boolit. Just have fun once in a while and enjoy the hobby. Step back and smell the roses...or flux.
