:-D When last i visited I was working on some loads for my .243 with bullets from the Bull Shop. Well I had farly good results with 12.0 of Alliant 2400 last March so I loaded 20 with OAL of 2.560 Fed GM 215's and light taper crimp and the photo shows the resultshttp://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g180/charlie45/june06033.jpg
these were fired @ 100 yards 78 deg. light south west wind 5 mph or less. I first shot the 5 shot group then wiped the bore and then shot 3, 5 shot groups at the same target. The rifle is a 24"bull barrel adams & benette from Midway on a Mauser action. Vertical stringing is caused (I believe) by lack of action bedding.
This is a very light load that anyone can have fun with. I can't advise speed but have no doubt it would do in a wood chuck with out any probvlems @ 100 yards. And noise leval not much more then a 22 lr.
Now I just have to try 200 yds.

Those are amazing cast bullet groups.

The barrel I put on my 38-55 Win 94 buffalo rifle is an A&B that was on sale for $65 :).

Here's a link to a typical target:http://www.sporterizing.com/index.php?showtopic=2481

If I only shot in the winter, I could use it for a tomato stake in the off season. Its a little short at 26".

Thats good shooten! I don't care how much you paid for the barrel. always wanted a 38-55 and to that end picked up a new nef 44 mag. last winter. I well be ordering a 28" target model barrel soon. I was able to pickup a set of cowboy dies at an auction. working my way there, slow but sure.:-D
