local tire company is saving their lead for me. I picked up 400 pounds today :)
I was told come by every two weeks

Congrats. Buy yourself a fishing sinker mold, or ask the guys that work there if they shoot. You can make boolits for them to keep them loyal.

the lead gods are smiling on me, that's 4 places that have buckets with my name on them.

none have asked for a thing heck they even helped load

Wow. Tire stores here say they send the lead back to corporate "for recycling".

"Corporate" is the standard answer with the big stores here to. I got lucky with a friend of 30 years that owns a GM/Dodge dealership, once a month like rain he has a bucket for me. Sometime more, sometimes a little less but more than I can shoot in a month.

I was almost floored when this guy called me, got two others saving like maybe a bucket a month. but this guy loaded my pickup down with it today, now I have 9 5 gallon bucket full to be melted into ingots, I use as muffin pan with 24 2"x3" muffin slots . have 4 50 cal ammo cans full of them, have a big Tupperware (walmart) full also.
then I have around 150-200 4"x"2"x5" ingots
all and all I have gathered about 800-1000 lbs of free lead and promises of 3-4 buckets every 2 weeks


and I just started casting a few months back, if I could cast a .204 bullet I been is hog heaven

Maddog, I can't hardy handle 22 cal pills, good luck with 20 cal's but I am an old man with bad fingers!
