Man I love living in Wyoming. The sun was out and the winds were light so I loaded the Savage 204 in the truck and packed some gear.

About a 110 yard shot

That 204 is a wicked little round, 32gr Noslers a 3950FPS sure open those little guys up. They arent out in force yet but every once in a while I would be able to sneak up on one or two sitting out in the sun and get a 100-150 yard shot.

I saw an awesome dark colored coyote walkin around an old dog town at about 350 yards but didnt get a shot and left my FoxPro at home. By the time I realized what it was and got set up, he realized what I was and took off. By the time I got him in the cross hairs he was heading for the next county and about 700 yards out.

Must be nice weather your having over there in Wyoming. Here it is cold and wet in Central Texas. Used to do a lot of P-dog hunting. 3 of us used to go a lot to the Lubbock Tx. region and hunt . One of our members died and so did the interest for awhile. Saw this post and brought back a lot of memories. Have fun and good shooting.

Well the beauty of this place is you can have 8 inches of snow, roads closed, lots of wind (Friday), And 45 to 50 snow melted, mud everwhere, and the dogs are out (Saturday) But of course there is the other extreme, we have several snow banks that are still 2 to 3 feet tall and a hundred or so feet long that are still from November.

If someone was looking for a chance to shoot pdogs next year 2011 from out of state [ some say out of country] could you guys recommend an area and time of year
I'm looking at doing a little traveling the next few years and would like some new things to try, might even get the wife to bust a few.
This could always change if it becomes to hard to travel with firearms but would love to try. Before I'm to old alligator, hogs, an Pdogs.
Thanks Alex
