Yes I am full of questions.
I have a Nepaleese snider.One of the IMA Imports.
Once it was restored it is a beautiful gun.
I have what I think is a problem with the hammer striking the firing pin.
Buckshot told me where the hammer should strike so now I need to make the adjustments to get it there.
When I got the gun the hammer was not on it but was in the box.
I looked at it and saw it was bent and not having ever had any experience with a Snider I laid it on a block of steel and whacked it with a hammer to straighten it (big time screw up) Now I need to bend it back so it will strike the fireing pin correctly!
I asked this question on the Snider Enfield forum and got a disertation on metallurgy.
"Can I do the bending I need without heating the hammer or if I need to heat it ,How hot,"
