Where do I find .460 dies that size a cast lead bullet? I will pan lube. I do not see the need for lube sizer.

I use Lee Sizing Dies.
Very happy with them. If you need to open one up, either they will do it, or you can try.
Not that hard.

Should be able to get one from on-line sellers for $15 or so.

Thanks, I've got a couple of non tumble molds I bough a while back that I've been wanting to try out. Good t know I can use my lee sizer for these as well as my tumble molds.

Haf202,

The fastest way would be to order a Lee sizer for .457 bullets and lap it out .003". Since you plan to pan lube, the Lee (or Lee type) sizing die will do very nicely.

Lets talk about how to lap out the .003 at home without specialized machinery.

I didn't either. Was very happy with LLA and push through size dies from Lee.

Then I got my Garands, cast some 200 gr bullets and needed to apply lube. Whipped up some Felix lube, pan lubed them, cut the cake with some 3/8" copper tubing, sized with a Lee push through die and learned a new and unpleasant definition to the word messy when in the process.

I now have a second hand Lachmiller lubrisizer. My dies will hopefully arrive before the weekend and I hope to find a way around the unpleasant mess.

Yes and it works great. Either use the Lee push thru sizing die or get an adapter made to hold regular sizing dies. You'll have to rig an "anvil or pusher" with an old shell holder. Rods are made from 5/16" bolts but it works great and you're nose first sizing so no distortion of bumping from the nose./beagle

Just curious but why did you pan lube before sizing through the Lee sizer? I would have sized and then pan lubed. Lee recommends a light lube before sizing to protect the die but that is using LLA. I just spray mine with one shot case lube then size. I do use LLA but I don't put that on until after they are sized.

It's just easier to lube first, punch them out & size them.
