Does anyone have a gun values book that is recent? I have several and they are OLD. I was just curious as to what this lever gun might be worth and what year it was discontinued. I have a Waters in a Contender, and it is a very good cast bullet shooter. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...BCB

Just checked the latest version of Blue Book of Gun Values online and a quick look showed the 7-30 Waters was introduced in the XTR in 1985 and dropped in 1988 and brought out in the standard 94 rifle in 1989, and then made to 1997. An XTR in 100% is worth about $370 and the standard somewhat less at $315. Hope this helps.

McLintock,

That is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know the Blue Book of Gun Values was online. The guy has one and wants about 3 bills for it so I guess he is in the ball park. I should have purchased one years ago, but I didn't...And so it goes. Now that I have the Contender shooting cast so well, the Model 94 seems like a logical choice. No need to purchase new dies, molds, brass, etc. Thanks again...BCB

how about posting the exact website for that blue book because all I ever find are sites wanting to sell you the book.

There was a angle eject XTR in 7-30 on gunbroker about 6 weeks ago . It was NIB and went for $1200 I believe

I want a 7-30 Waters , but I'm gonna rebarrel a Marlin . Incidently when Ken Waters started his load development he used a rebarreled Marlin 336A.
