This is his first revolver, the one that didn't work all that well. No cylinder stops to make sure that the cylinder and barrel are aligned. Thankfully Old Sam later served as a helmsman on a sailing vessel and had an AHA on how to keep barrel and cylinder aligned. At least that is what I was taught in school.

Sam Colts Auto Cad must have been about release 1.0 because I learned on release 2.6 and that was a long time ago.
