If accuracy and reliability are paramount the Lee 121 truncated cone bullet gets my vote. Is it what I would hunt with? No. But from an accuracy standpoint it is extremely accurate in any .38/.357 handgun or rifle I've tried it in and also the 9MM. As far as feed reliability in auto pistols it's great. So given your criteria that is what I would choose.

BRP's 360640 or Lyman/Ideal 358311

I guess my LBT 185 gas checked flat nose ain't gonna cut it in a nine millimeter Luger ... but maybe the nine by twenty-three ? Regardless that's my pick for the revolver rounds

Wow the 352 Saeco 245 gr is out then as is the 358627. {many of us love our 35 cal rifles}. I would be stuck with the 358242 121 gr rn or the 356402. I have heard the RCBS 150 feeds in a 9 but not tried it my self. It shoots good in the 38 & 357 as does the 358477.

The Lee 358-125-RF. Works good in my Model 10, Hi-Power, GP100, etc. Not the best in any gun but better than any other single bullet in all guns.

Edit addition: It doesn't look like the picture in the catalogs/websites, my 6 cav is not a bevel base and has a longer, rounder nose. And my Hi-Power loves .358 boolits.

i use the magma 125 rnfp for squirrels in the 38 and as a plate tipper in the 9mm.
course i use 158 swc's in my 9mm's for target work too.
and the saeco 248 in my d.w. 357 max revolver as well as in my 358 win so what do i know.

My current favorite is the RCBS 38-150-SWC.

Now if only RCBS made it in a 4 cavity mold.

Not owning any 9mm or .38cal weapons other than a 358 Winchester on a BLR I vote for the LEE 200gr 358 rn as it shoots real nice out to distances further than I need.

Just one for both? The only bullet I've used for both was the 92gr RN something in the 125gr region should work very well for both if the .358 works in your 9mm's

158gr TC could be fun out of my browning high power

Or ANY of their molds in 4 cavity versions. I'd own a lot more RCBS molds if they did.

That or the Lyman 358477 150 gr SWC. I've shot lots of them through all 3 cartridges without problems and excellent accuracy in all 3. The SWC feeds without problems in the numerous 9mms I've used it in (M39, M59, M35, M9, CZ75 and M1911s.

I can't get 158's to fit in the 9mm case. They are too long.

The Lee TL-358-158-SWC is a good design for all around shooting. It will even work in some 358 diameter rifles. The only thing is it wont work in my 9mm cases.

Is the Lyman 358477 a dead-ringer of the RCBS 38-150-SWC (or vice versa)? I've looked a pictures of the Lyman mold on MidwayUSA, and it seems to have a larger rear driving band, and a different nose profile than the RCBS mold.
