Went to the range last weekend with my AR,Colt 1911 45 and 03 Springfield. Put down about #50rds 31141 cast out about 187gr W/W. Used 24gr of IMR 4227.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v292/PDshooter/reloading/06008.jpg
Nice plinking load, shoot low at 100yds, but very cheap to shoot!:drinks:

I use 13.5 grains of red dot. Put the rear site around 600 yards and my 1917 enfield is right on with a 6:00 hold at 100 yards. We shoot em like 22s.

..............Nice looking 'Sprangfield' too BTW! There is a 3 powder 'nitch' that seems to work well for your generic CB loads. That's SR4759, 4227 and 4198. Guess you can add Reloader 7 in there too but I've never used any before.

I found Reloader 7 to be a great powder for cast '06 loads. I think it is as good, at least for me, as IMR or H4198. 22 grains with a 190 grain lead round nose w/gas check is my favorite. I have gone up to 25 grains with that bullet and with 170ish grain flatpoint bullets and have found that all are really very accurate with this powder.

I "think" I first tried it after someone on the old Shooters board recommended it. I thought it was Buckshot, but guess it's a good thing I am not on the witness stand swearing to my recollection since obviously I'm wrong about the source.
