With the same pot that comes in the Lyman 4500 kit with the suppied ladle.
I used it for the first time Saturday on a dedicated electric curcit with only the pot{400 watts} and hot plate to keep the moulds warm.
Anyway book that came with it says 8 pound pot and has no setting for heat just plug in after first lead was melted 25-30min. cold new lead.
Refills after almost empty was up to temp in 8 min or so.
I casted over
750 124gr 9mm "TC" weighed 124.5 as well as all the rest listed below was a little on the heavy side. Before sized and lubed.
150 250gr 45 Colt.
150 230gr 45ACP RN
100 185gr 45ACP button wad cutters
The heating coil inside the pot and smaller size soon got old

If you continue to ladle cast and ever want to upgrade the pot you should consider the Waage K4757 !

22 pounds of Pb and good temp controls.

It worked fine but a bottom pour is what I will get when more $$$ are at hand.
The kit at Midway was $138.00 in Dec/Jan so to me it was an free pot/ladle with the 4500.

At this point the used moulds and handles plus free WW plus 2 pounds of and lino type dad gave me, I am just about dead even dollar vise vs buying cast like I was before.
Still have to cast enough to be even for the 4500 kit and lead I did buy.
My son did cast most of them and he was :bigsmyl2:

Last time I visited the Lyman website, they had a Mag Dipper at a good price on their clearance page.
