I am looking for a mould to cast 308 30-06 and 30-30.
Is there a mould I could cast all of them to start with?
Anyone have an ideal mould?

............dpunch, welcome to the board. If your 30-30 is a tube mag that pretty well limits you to a FN design. Two of the very most common are the Lyman 311041 and the Lee C309-170F.

Hi dpunch, if you like FN bullets the RCBS #82014 180gr./309" diametre is a ripper in my Mauser 98 7.62X51 It is a flat nose with heaps of grease grooves, which i like, plenty of lube can only be a barrel saver!!
Good luck!!:):):):)

Seconds on those two molds 311041 or the Lee C309-170 My best for 30 cal bullet. Long and stable.
Shoots nice out of the 30-30 and 30-06. For the 30-30 hard to beat IMR3031 or either(IMR or H) 4895 loads.

dpunch, Welcome to the forum!
As far as I know the Lyman 311041 is a winner.
And I second the motion on IMR3031.:lovebooli

The #311041 with 11 bhn and a GC, plus 24.5 grs of IMR 3031 powder, is my favorite load for the 30-30. Hits hard and mushrooms real well with no loss of weight.

Lyman 311291 as well. Round nose 170 grains or so

311041. I've used it in all of the calibers that you've mentioned, and the Lyman books publish loading data for this boolit in each of those calibers.

I use the RCBS 30-150 FP, and the Lee C309-150FP. If your 30-30 is a Marlin, I would lean toward the Lee, It shoots better in the two Marlins I have tried it in.

311041 gets my vote as well as the RD 311-165 that NOE is running a group buy on right now. This is a chance to get a high quality mould in more then two cavities.
