Bought an RCBS .356 90 gr bullet mould to make .380 auto ammo.. Made a batch of really good looking bullets. Bought an RCBS .355 size/lube die. The holes on the die are too far down to put lube in the short 90 gr bullet. Short of using a drill press to make holes higher up on the die has anyone out there have any suggestions?

Is the nose punch hitting the top of the die? If not, you need to adjust the bottom
stop on the ejector pin to let it go deeper. If so, then you will need to make up a
longer nose punch or find one small enough and long enough to push the boolit deeper.

I would also check the top punch for line up.

ive used the lee and saeco 90 gr bullet in my star lube/sizer with no problems! you will probely get better accuracy with bullets sized larger than .355 i use .357 in 2 380,s and 2 9mm,s and 2 38 supers, that dia seems to work the best in all 6 pistols

Kinda late now but the Lyman sizing dies in 'pistol' calibers generally have more rows of holes for more flexibility. You might want to slug that .380 barrel and try for a longer top punch as suggested. You still might need a larger diameter though.

I size the 95g 358242 in my Lyman 4500 without a issue... I don't know what to say, other then make yourself a custom top punch that has a little more length...

I would slug the barrel before I sized down to .355. Many 9mm Para's will not shoot
boolits at that diameter except sideways. My KelTec P3AT tumbled .356 diam and
shoots .357 very accurately.
