Last I looked the Lyman 410459 and the RCBS 210gr. swc were still available. I guess one could quibble over whether they were "true" Keith bullets. Pedantry lives!

Giz----: see e_bay items # 7151677412 ( Lyman 4C) and 7151678064(saeco 3 c) ..Given that the Saeco has the handles,I recant prev.opinion as to current price on that one..If I wasn't well fixed up in 41 Cal.options,I might try that one on !! Good luck,Onceabull

I bought a Lee mold for a friends gun and they shoot great.

Guess the 410459 is closer than anything to a true Keith but I've found most of them to be too small in diameter so "beagling" is required.

I'd like to see Lyman make a "sure nuff" keith with a long nose, wide, full diameter driving band that had a square grease groove that cast about .413-414". out of wheelweights and weighed in about 240 grains./beagle

You might try NEI. Our 41-230 is from one of the last moulds Walt cut. It's suppose to be a 220. Mine cast large enough I can size .412 with no problem.

My one-and-only .41 boolit is the RCBS 41-210, casting at 217 grains in my WW alloy. Since the day I got my 8.375" Model 57 about '98, brand-new in the box, this is the only .41 cast bullet I've used. I'm sizing at .410" and have never seen a hint of leading even at 1400 fps or more.

The accuracy is frankly astounding. With my "regular" load of 17.5 #2400, this may well be the most accurate revolver I've ever seen. It is certainly the most accurate one I've owned, and that covers a whole bunch of revolvers!

There's a lot of "Who needs it?" in discussions surrounding the cartridge, and I'll confess to the same attitude UNTIL I actually owned one. After that, I shut the H up and just enjoy it as a fine and quite flexible cartridge. I still love my .44s, too, but there is plenty of room in my tastes for the .41 as well.

I recently got a brand new Lyman 410610 from Midway and am really disappointed with it, can't get it to cast larger than .409. There is a Lee 41 caliber 240 gr 6-banger on ebay you might be interested in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7151826263&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I have it in a single cavity and it does a good job but I prefer using gas checks on high velocity loads.

Lloyd, please send me a boolit or two of that 41 mag boolit you like so well. I would like to take measurements from it. I have a design in the mill which I think is the ultimate for a Marlin micro-groove, and I want to make sure my design is not too far off (in balance) from a known variant that shoots for sure. ... TIA, felix

I will chime in on the RCBS .41 offering. Very good accuracy, Less than 3" at 100yards, from a scoped Dan Wesson and off of bags. Not sure of the velocity, but I am sure it wasn't loafing.

I also have a LBT 235gr LFN mould that does exceptionally well. I was also duly impressed with a 315gr lfn mould that I sold down the pike. (I still have about 1000 or so bullets rat holed for testing or hog hunting if I ever get around to it).

I had a lyman 410610 for a very short while. I had problems with the sizing and sold it right after I picked up the RCBS mould.

J. Paul Jones had several that he saved from the days of his distributorship for Saeco. They are 4 holers with handles throwing 220 grain SWCs.

I bought one from him, it was unopened from the mid 70's and in perfect shape for $165.

You can reach him at:

Here is a blurb from the latest newsletter he sent around:

Hello, I am back from a trip from the family ranch where I
found 19 forgotten molds of the 45 acp 200, 230 grain and 220
gr .41 Mag Keith SWC.

Hope this helps

Hi,
Looks like you have plenty of help here but I thought I'd tell you that I have one of the older RCBS Kieth type 41mag molds and could not be happier! As a matter of fact I now almost exclusivly use Kieth style molds from RCBS in all of my revolver cartridges(38/357,41,44ect) I just had an old Nei mold rebored in 44 for something heavier(330gr.) but for 99% of my shooting the RCBS molds are fantastic! Good luck!!!
