I don't know why, but I like playing with the more inexpensive guns.
I have a nice TC contender with several barrels.
I also have one of those 45/410 single shot 10"bbl south american things that go for $140 new. I think they are made by Rexico? The Comanchee or something??
Anyway, I started playing with it and it will shoot the 230 BD, loaded with 8gns of Red Dot, very accuratly. At 25 yds, it will put most of them in under an inch.
I think I might want to take it deer hunting more that I would my Contender with the 357 Herrett barrel or others.
It seems kind of backwards to me. Back when I was young and broke, I would have killed for a nice Contender setup, but now I'm more interested in getting the junker to shoot as good as the Contender.
Maybe that's why I like shooting cast?
I can get Rem 165 core lokts to shoot under 1" in all my 30-06's(5) with the same load.
Maybe my mind just wanders too much?
