147gr recipe?

Anyone have a decent formula for the 147gr RFN 9mm? I'm using Bullseye and 231.

I don't load that weight in lead in the 9mm, but here's data from the LEE manual:

9mm Luger 147gr lead OAL 1.135"
Win231 start 3.3grs
Win231 max 3.5grs 905fps 32100psi

I load 3.5gr under a 147gr RCBS @ OAL1.115" for 944 from my G17/LW bbl.

1.06" OAL 4.6 grains Power Pistol 1030fps.
That's the max laod from Lyman. I'm using the magma bullet. Haven't tested it much though.

If you want to crank up the power Vitavuori has 3N38 powder listed that will push the 147 to 1200 fps. Don't think I'd try that on a plastic gun though. My thought is a stiffer recoil spring would be needed. I may give it a try just because it's their. Have an all steel 659.

I hae a note here in my book someone on this site liked 3.7gr of WSF. That's .2gr under max and should be around 900fps.

I use 3.7 gr WSF with a 147gr MiHec FPBB- 1.140 OAL. This averages 860 FPS, ES of 15, and SD of 4. Excellent load, and very accurate.
