Anyone know where I might find a matchlock rifle kit?????
Want something cheap as possible.
Don't expect to shoot it all that much, but I'd like to try one just to see what it was like.

Dixie gunworks has one but don't expect it to be cheap. There isn't much call for them so they go for a higher price beings not many are made.

I'd be pretty shy of Middlesex. I had got one of thier guns last year, and it was terrible, end to end. I didn't consider the barrel safe to fire, and the locks were some of the worst I have seen. I sent it back for a refund.

Thanks for the links.
Kind of expensive, but nice.
The little hand cannon looks interesting.

Good morning
While back up there in the state of ILL I went and visited a freind commonly known as Lizard.
He used his kit built Match lock to shoot a deer several years ago. Kit looked very nice. I believe he got it from the Rifleshoppe. Quality does have a price.

I did a search through the web.
Someplace mentioned that there was a place in Canada that made a matchlock rifle without the torch hold drilled.
Was done this way so it could be sold and shipped as a decorator and not a firearm.
Interesting story.
Here's the site.

It didn't mention the name of the company.
Anyone know where this guy got the matchlock????
