Getting things together to start loading for my Mosins... So I need to start looking at boolits. Honestly, I've not loaded for any .30cal rifle before. So this is going to be a learning experience for me.

What boolits get you're vote for this caliber?

Can't recommend a boolit without knowing your bore size - they can vary from 0.308" (some Finn Mosins) to 0.316" (like I've seen). When you get much above 0.313", you might have to neck turn your brass, as some chambers have tight neck clearance.

you need to know what you are looking for before you look.
a 314299 won't do too well in a 300x308 bore and 311299 won't be much help in a 308x314

Yep, you need to slug the bores first. My Mosins run from .3085 (Finn) to .314.

the bore dimensions are just as important as the groove dimensions.
a long throat or short is handy info too.
