Just bought a mold off ebay. Those of you that have one, I plan to use the bullet in my older AR. Can someone tell me what diameter I can expect from wheel weights or Linotype.
I have hopes of running them through a .225 sizer?? and using Javelina lube.
I would like to push them out to la least 400 yards maybe 500.

I just grabbed 10 random boolits and weighed them. As cast wheel weights averaged 49.7 grains and all were .2255-.226 diameter.

I think this was the last batch that came in. I got the mould last summer/fall and have only had a chance to cast with it once.

I can check mine also but it doesn't really matter what mine drops. It's what your's will drop at and often it is different due to different moulds or cast techniques.

I just checked mine and they dropped at .225 with some a hair under. If you're drop a liitle small you can easily beagle the mould and bump them up to where you need.

I was just trying to get an idea. And I agree different methods and mix will yield different sizes.
