You don't have to shoot all classes, you only have to shoot one if thats all you want/can.

We need a couple categories for shotgun slugs. 50 yards for smoothbore, 100 yards for rifled? I might participate in those and scoped rifle.

How would this work; we print off a target, shoot it, and mail it in? Witness signatures?

ROOLS!!!!!! We need to see some rools!!!!!!!

What kind of target?

How many rounds?

Shoot for group or for score?

Do you really trust these guys???? Just look at em....a bunch of shady characters if you ask me. [smilie=1:

Tell us what you want. I'll try to send some targets that don't have powder burns on them. 8-)

I say:
1) shoot for group, any target you choose ("same target" is usually a hassle).
2) 10 shots per target.
3) cast boolits only.

OK, How about this

Just a idea

There can be a $5 entry fee for every class. For every class that you shoot that you include $5 entry fee, you are put in for winning 1 lb of Bullshop boolit lube.

You do not have to include the entry fee to shoot, but if you do not, you do not get put in for the prize. you are just shooting for the fun of it.

$5 per class
1 winner per class
The highest scoring paying winner gets the prize.

How about that?

Say what? Where's the money go? Seems like the winner (or the top 3) should get the entry fees from all the participants in that class.

An entry fee kills the deal for me.

I'm in as long as there is no prize for the winner.
-Why? Because friendly competition can become unfriendly with a quickness when prizes are involved.
IF you think a prize would be a good way to draw shooters to the match, then a 'door prize' might be a be a good idea. The prize could be your lube or brass, boolits, or Cast Boolit merchandise etc. IF you charge a fee, the money could go toward the door prizes and shipping. The fee must be fairly painless though because some of these guys will want to shoot as many catagories as they can.

You could nix the door prize and fees by simply drawing up some cool locking certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each category and e-mail them to the winners along with a dedicated sticky for the recent postal match results. It would be cool to see how my shooting compares to the rest of you all, even if I'm at the bottom of the results list.:D FREE is GOOD!

Have all of us download and shoot the same target to keep scoring simple. We shoot the target, put it in a envelop, mail it to you, you score the targets and post the results. The key would be to ensure that everyone that down loads and prints the target as the same size. The old Surplusrifle.com postal match target might still be available on-line.

Just food for thought...

Good rules, plenty of time to shoot and a nice selection of classes. You should get good participation on this one! I'll be in for 50 yard lever for sure. Might even embarrass myself with a handgun target.

Is this going to be a group size match or score match? And has a standard target been decided on.A downloadable and printable target I think would make is easier to shoot and score.

Bullshop Junior

The targets are scored by group size. Yo just have to pay to ship the barn wall if that is your target ;)

You can use what ever kind of target that you want, because the targets are scored by group size, not what rind # the boolits hit in.

You shoot a match or matches using the rules posted at the link in post number 22. Then you mail the target(s) to the provided address. Bullshop Junior will score the targets and list the winners.

Compliance to the rules is the honor system and the prizes are boasting rights.

Next best thing to being there.

No need to send $ just send targets with the correct number (5) of holes in them.
