A guy at work was selling off all his dads sinker moulds , lead , hooks and lead pot's
I bought it all today as the price was dirt cheap

I got it all home and started sorting through it
Made a call to a local guy that sells sinkers and jigs
And he bought all the moulds and hooks that I had no use for

I kept the 2 10 lb Lee bottom pour pots and the lead of course

1 had a few lb of lead in the bottom and had a lot of crud mixed into the lead
The other one had what looked like plastic in it

So I plugged both of them in to melt the lead
So I could clean them out

Just went down and poured out the lead of the first one and sat it aside to cool , so I could clean it

But the other one did have plastic in it
And even set on max , it felt like it was no where close to hot enough to melt lead

So I did a web search and found Lee makes a pot designed to melt plastic to pour your own rubber worms

http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/soft-plastic-lure-molds/734307906993.aspx

Called a freind that dose a lot of bass fishing and offered to trade it to him for lead
He is interested , so I may have made out

So just a FYI , the plastic melting pot looks just like a lead melting pot
I would guess I could get the parts from Lee and replace the heating element , but way to much hassel for me
