Darned BP went up

I just picked up 5 pounds of Goex FF and it went up another dollar a pound. Still not a bad deal at $17.99 but where is it gonna stop?

yes... i just picked up some wano powder, it was 13 .56 ? a pound.

and i thoughts that was high.

Everything goes up. I remember paying all of $2.50 a pound for Dupont when I first started shooting BP and I have never seen the price go down.

Buy Buckhorn or whatever at $30 for 10 or 12 ounces. Pyrodex is about $25 a pound. Considering all the Federal red tape I am surprised BP is still as inexpensive as it is. Still its getting darn expensive to shoot. You caplock shooters must really be hurting as the last I saw in Gander Mountain, #11 caps cost more per 100 than 250 top hat musket caps. Its getting where using 6 caps to clear oil out of a revolver may require a bank loan.

After getting my first kit gun and getting tired of running to get a pound at a time, a buddy and I went to Dixie and got a keg each of Dupont 2F. The keg was 25lbs for $50.
I'm headed to get a case of 2F Swiss this week and the guy thought that the price would be $525. It wasn't in from the importer yet so no hard price.
If he has some Black Diamond, $10 a pound, I may get some to try. It takes nearly a pound to shoot a match not to mention playing so half price if I can get it to shoot would be nice.
