Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever considered or perhaps used something like this..?

Or even this..?

The real issue with products like these is the "carrier" they use to hold the graphite in suspension, many of them are petroleum based and are very detrimental to both powder and primer.

I've tried several "liquid" lubes, from Lee's LLA to a Moly coating that hardened up. All worked ok but they were all messy and time consuming ( drying time and such) I could size a thousand 45 auto boolits in my Star before mst of these even got tacky!

I could then have that thousand loaded on my Dillion before the others were ready to start the loading process!

Now I realize that a beginer might not have the ability, or inclination, to get that much gear up front but don't over think it.

For the bulk of my casting and reloading, low velocity pistol and revolver plinking rounds, I usually just drop the boolits into melted JPW, scoop them out with a slotted spoon, and stand them up on wax paper to drain.
No leading.

Been using LPS-1 on primer slide bar on the Dillon and Pistol slides in colder weather.

This is an interesting concept as well.

Ya don't sit and watch them dry.

I load previously cast bullets, cast more bullets, do honey-do's, etc.

I have nothing against traditional lubes. And while clock time it may take longer to use a tumble lube, it takes less of my time if I shoot as cast.

That said, if you gotta push them through a sizer anyway, a Star is the way to go.

Thats not necessarily a issue. LLA is petroleum based. And its a damn fine lube!

It depends on what you're using it for. Either would be good for lubricating machinery, such as loading presses, but I wouldn't use either for boolit lube. There are better products for that job. Either of the ones you listed will work well on a loading press because they dry as the carrier evaporates, leaving a coating of graphite that lubes the machinery without either collecting dust or contaminating powder or primers.

Stew

I like these two a lot..!

I couldn't find an option to buy them from this page, do you know where they can be bought on line or even locally..?

Got mine locally. That is the original LPS-1 mind you. They don't have the fancier varieties.
Grainger may have it as well

Thanks for the link..!

Ya' know I was even considering possibly trying WD40 and seeing how that worked after I have shot a few to see what the "typical" build up is. Then after I see what normal leading looks like with an unlubed bullet, I can better judge the affects of different lubing techniques and products.
