so there i was, had a nice big list of moulds, lubrisizers, pots, etc....

then BAM! the economy hits me.

so now im just focusing on my new 10mm.

i would buy a lee mould, and sizer. i can afford that, but their heaviest one is 175gr.

im really wanting 200gr, and the average i see per 1k is $100-$150 commercially, but some of those are unlubed.

so should i just settle for the lee 175gr 2 cav, sizer, and alox?

or buy the commercial 200gr ones?

anybody have any suggestions on saving $$$, or seen any deals/bargains?

Un-lubed commercial bullets?? I had no idea!!

The 175 works fine in the 10mm. I don't have one, but an familiar with a fellow shooters.
My next one will be a 145 gr or a bit less if I can find one.

The 175 grain boolit will work OK. If you really want the 200 grain bullet, RCBS makes it. I looked at Midsouth and they have the 200 grain bullet for $63.28 plus shipping.

most 38-40 boolits are 200 grs and come in at 402 or so.

Actually, I think you'll find most 38-40 bullets are in the 180gr range.
Nothing wrong w/ 175-180gr bullets int he 10mm. If you want 200gr, there are molds from RCBS, Saeco, Magma & all the semi & custom mold makers.

I think the answer lies in a question or two.........How much do you shoot? Will you use the mold for more than one pistol? How long will you keep the pistol(s)?

Get the Lee setup. Shoot Lee boolits until the economy improves. What's wrong with that? You might actually come to like them.

Everything I cast with comes from Lee. I have done it this way for over 20yrs.
I am on my second pot, and original molds.
I have no complaints.

I've got a six banger for that .401 175 grain semi wad sputter. As cast, LLA and sprinkle on a little motor mica and I'm good to go. 5 grains or so of Red Dot and smoke 'em if ya got 'em. What's that you say? Ya want more oomph? OK take about twelve grains of AA9 under that pill and get ready to scrub some serious lead. Of course, as the guy shooting with me at the last IPSC match proclaimed "if ya cant hit the targets burn em down". About six feet of serious flame chases those pills from the muzzle of my Witness Elite Match 10 mike mike. All the more fun!
