I was fortunate enough to receive one of the prototypes of this mold for evaluation and testing. When the group buy was run, I purchased one as the prototype GC shank was to large on the prototype. Michael and I agreed to make a PB with it. Well, after many months, it is done (free). I shot some yesterday, freshly cast, over 7.5/GreenDot in a Win 94 32 Win Spl. Nice clean barrel after several rounds. I'm guessing about 1200 fps, maybe less. Load needs to be printed yet, and worked for accuracy (can prolly push it a bit harder). Just shot some for grins. They dropped about .327, and I ran them thru a Ly H&I marked .323, and they came out .324. Boolit base was base of neck and lightly crimped in the crimp groove. Loob was Felix World Famous Loob (FWFL) big batch (from several years ago). Alloy was what I had in the pot, air cooled, mix of WW/RS.

Anyone else using PB in 32 Win Spl or 32-40, other than single shot?

Felix, cheapo plinking for 'da riva'!!!!

Ya' gotta' keep me guilty, eh? I hafta' get on that so-an-so and get us an entry ticket, someway, somehow. The range was/is free, and considering the hassle I am going to need to add up trials and tribulations to the cost of a year membership for the both of us. Folks, there is no free shootin' anymore. Oh, we have plenty of 30-30s to load with that newly cut 32 boolit. ... felix

Sure, the Lyman plain base 319247 (or something like that) shoots quite well in the Winchester 94 with a goodly charge of Unique.

I have a 321297 that the GC shank was milled out by a previous owner. Shoots good sized .321 in my .318 bore 1936 Marlin 32 HPS (32 win spl) with 7 gr. of Red Dot. BTW, this boolit sized .323 shoot well in my 8mm Yugo 24/47 too.
I tried the Ranch Dog 323, but even sized .321 it is too fat on the nose to chamber in the old skinny bored Marlin.

Sundog,

I guess I'm working on the same problem from the opposite direction, as I've a Marlin with a tight bore (.315"). I also have a Lyman 311041 which was opened up to .322" upon removing the check shank. I'm trying to center the ogive portion in the bore by paper patching, while using the plain base.

Cast a bunch more of the PB boolits last week. Cold and a lot of snow here, so I'm trying a loob job ala Ranch Dog. I have a 50/50 LLA/Mineral Spirit and did a dip job on the boolits up to the crimp groove. They dried overnight, and this morning a ran them through a Lee .323 push through sizer followed by another dip to the crimp groove. There are drying now. If they shoot okay then it is certainly an alternate method of keeping a gun going in the absence of GC's. Cheap, too. If it ever warms up and the snow melts off, I'll print some and post the results...
