If I succeed in dropping boolits over .430, how can I increase the size of the die from .430 to perhaps .431? Is it possible to go even larger if necessary?

Thanks,

Randy

wooden dowel and fine sand paper, just take your time and check it a lot. :bigsmyl2: :redneck: :cbpour:

Is the sand paper just wound around the dowel until it barely slides into the sizer? Used in a drill?

Thanks

Yes but what type of sizer are you talking about? Did you check your sizer? Sometimes they size .001 over anyway. If it is a Lee sizer then fine but if it is a Lyamn or RCBS type if you go much more than .001 over, you need to replace the piston with a larger one or it will leak allot of excess lube. If you do a search here someone talked about putting a laping compound on the outside of cast bullets and running them through the sizer. He said it inlarged it in short order.

Plus one on Phat Man Mike, use some oil on the fine grit paper and don't use a drill. Roll it over a rubber mat while you put some pressure on the dowel. Check often.
Stop before you get to where you want for diameter and size a few hundred, as it will open up a little bit more with use.
