Hi,

Has anyone used this bullet? What did you think of it? I'm looking for a plinking round for a .44 Mag revolveer (Ruger Super Red Hawk). I would like an accurate bullet though!

I did a search on "430" and didn't get any hits.

Thanks,
John

How does .70" sound at 25 yards? I drop right from the mould into a 5 gallon bucket sitting on the floor with a cloth on the top with a slit in it. I push it thru the Lee sizing die .430 and then tumble lube and let dry for a day. After inspecting again for any flaws I shoot three different loadings with great results from all three. Very lite plicking for the kids to shoot 6.2 grn of Unique for middle of the road to 3/4 throttle I use 10.9 grns or Unique and it shoots about 1100fps. For 1300 fps I go with 2400 and a loading of 21 grns.

THe first time I loaded from 6.0 grn of unique to 13 grns and when I walked down to the 25 yard back stop I couldn't believe my eyes at the 10.9 grn group. It was just slightly bigger then 2 bullets side by side and 10 bullets went thru there. I use a 7.5" OM Super Blackhawk and even my 629 6" barrel the groups are just slightly bigger.

I have been thinking about getting that one for some light plinker loads, As long as you load them light it should be fine. ....Buck

Now I'm envious. Since I shoot handguns for fun, I would dearly love to make that stuff work like that to avoid work. (Sigh)

Lazyness is a curse.

I use it in my SBH with good results. No sizing, just tumble lube in LLA and shoot.

I 've also had good results with it from my long bbl'd. SBH. It's just the ticket when you don't feel like lubing & sizing CB's.
