Made my annual trip for 8lb Universal and WLPs today and the price was practically unchanged from this time last year, $103.75 and $2.24 per 100 respectively. We get it from a wholesaler through our range. From all the horror stories I was expecting to be shocked in the other direction. I guess it was retailers who decided the time was right to make some money.

I think there is a lot of scalping going on right now.

WLP for $2.24/100?

...That's the best I've seen in years. I'm happy to find them for around $3 these days.

There is a lot of price gouging now. On my trip to Colorado over the Thanksgiving, one vendor had WSP and WSR at $5.99 per hundred. Four hundred limit. He had 5 bricks and didn't seem to be selling many. Outrageous!!

Locally, I picked up a brick of CCI small rifle primers for $37.99

Gander Mountain is trying to charge $50.00 per 1,000 while Wolf's Den gun shop down the road a few miles from them is $10.00 per 300. Wolf's Den also has a better selection of powders in stock at lower prices.

Yes, there is gouging.

On my way North for Thanksgiving I stopped into a few gunshops and found one that had some primers on the shelf. No prices, naturally. But there was a limit of 500 per type per person.

Picked up that, a pound of 2400, and a few other things, and guy gave me a total of $75.

"I'm not buying a whole brick of primers, I've only got 500...."

He informed me, $5 a hundred, across the board. Just paid it and didn't really think about it till after I left and I started getting a little heated. $50 a brick. Grrr..... And they were CCIs on top of that!

I also bought 100 Wolf LP primers, and didn't get a real warm fuzzy feeling when I was loading them. Anyone else had good luck with them?

I traded for 5000 Wolf LP and have shot about 200 they are as good as CCI or Winchester, may be a little harder as they seat firmer but not real hard.

Just paid $35/1000 at a gun shop in Carrollton, KY for CCI LP. Seems to be just a little lower than the last brick I bought (-2$ or so) Maybe things are looking up.

The Euro is currently $1.47 so 30 Euro would be about $44.10 , kinda pricy. 500 grams is just about 1.1 pounds for reference.

Kingstrider: The shop in Carrollton, Ky is in downtown about a block from the river. It is called Glauber's Sporting Goods. Don't remember the address as I only get there once or twice a year. Very nice folks, lots of guns both new and used. Prices aren't cheap but do seem reasonable. Hope this helps. If I can find the address I will PM you.
