I just went through my gun and fishing and hunting magazines and boxed up a large box of them for a local lady to send to her son in Iraq. Any men type magazines are accepted as long as they are not porn or mags like playboy ect. Maybe some of you guys could do the same for some one near you that has a some one serving in Iraq or Afganistan. Jim

That sounds like a great idea to me! I have a bunch of gun magazines, mostly in the 80's but some going back to the 60's and a few within the last 10 years or so. Must be 40 or 50 pounds of them. I'd be glad to send them but it would cost a small fortune. Is there a free shipping to servicemen program or some organization that will cover the shipping charges?

Art,

Theres another way. I believe it's Guns & Ammo that has a deal where you can send a subscription to a service man or woman. It's cheap too, no rip off being it may go overseas.

Scrounger I think there is a program for sending reading material to the troops but not sure where it is. Maybe a local recruiter in your area can tell you? I did not have to worry about that as the lady is sending them to her son.
