I am interested in the 314-120 mold if they are still available, but would like to wait for samples before I commit. I have someone who will be providing samples but it may take a few days before I receive them (they're traveling from MI to CA). The reason I'm holding back is because I don't want a mold that drops #2 alloy over .314" diameter.

Thanks,
MJ

MJ, sizing a bullet down a few thousandths, doesn't hurt anyting. Unless you are planning on tumble lubing...

I was wondering if anyone may have tried this bullet in a rifle?? Say something like an Argentine Mauser?? Looks like it might make a good plinking boolit.

.................I bought mine for just that thing, and so did a couple others mention using it that way. I haven't cast the first slug yet, so I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has shot them from a rifle.

I´ve shot some of those in my mosins. Seemed promising enough to strongly recommend the boolit for plinking in Fat 30´s.
I shot around 20 of them with LMG-Mosin and best load grouped 3" @100yds. With my avatar M28-30 I broke claybirds offhand with 17/20 hit percentage @ 60yds. That´s way beyond enough for me.
Haven´t shot on the paper with that yet.

Is there a difference between this one and the one I got from you recently called a 312-120 2R???

I have shot and chrongraphed the .314"x120 RF in a S&W 631, a S&W 16-4 6", a Ruger SP 101 4" and a TC Carbine 22" barrel. All in caliber .32 H&R Mag. In the Carbine, I ran it up to over 1700FPS with good results at 100 yards (under 1.5" five shot groups) with WC 820 (slow lot). I decided that might be a bit strenuous for the 631 so have dropped to 1550 fps in the Carbine (which gives me 1100 fps in the 6" Smith). The revolvers shoot just under or just over 1" at 25 yards.

This is a GOOD bullet. It mikes just under .315" when using 5/1 WW/Linotype. A .314" sizing die just barely touches. It should work well in most any .32 pistol (.32 S&W L or .32 H&R Magnum).

Any chance one of the 32 H&R mag molds from this buy might still be available ?

I just found this and am looking for a 6 banger for 32 H&R. in 93-100gr.

Please let me know if there is...

Thanks
