I just got back from the range checking my .357 Max Encore for Iowa deer hunting next weekend. I love the consistency of my two favorite loads. The first is the Ranch Dog 190 gr. LFNGC, seated out to seat into the lands with 26.5 gr. of RL7 behind it. The second is the Lyman #358627, 219gr. lubed and checked, with 21 gr. of 4227 behind it, again, seated into the lands. I put just enough crimp on each bullet to take the flare out of the case. 4 shots touching at 50 yds, 1 1/2" groups at 100 yds with either bullet, the 190 hits 3" higher than the 219 at 50 and 100 yds. I thoroughly enjoy shooting either of these loads and they hammer deer!
