I recently got a Star Super in 9mm largo, Since Starline is out of stock on Largo brass. I bought some old stock 38 super brass from the local gunshop($9.00 per 100). My star will not chamber the 38super brass,, so turned the rims down to .390''. I cannot find any data for the Largo,, but grampa's load notes show 8-9 grns of blue dot for 38 acp with 133grn lyman rn.(i have this mould) This seems a little warm to me, but what say you all. If anyone has a favorite Largo load they would share I would love to hear it. And if anyone would like to know a REALLY easy way to remove the rims from 38 super brass I could share that also. Thank you Josh DeLozier

Midway has Starline 9mm Largo brass
$17.99/100
$85.99/500
$163.99/1000

Easier than turning down the rims on .38 Super brass.

Speer reloading manual #14 has loads for 9mm Largo.

I have no secret method of removing semi-rims, but would like to make a comment about brass thickness.

While not a Largo, I've shot a lot of 9mm Steyr. I found that 38 Super brass was so much thicker at the case mouth that I had to inside neck ream it or loaded rounds wouldn't chamber.

My pistols need .359 diameter bullets. If your guns work with a smaller diameter you may be ok.

I shoot 9mm Largo with my Star A. I've had good luck with the Lee TL356-124-2R and just use the load data supplied in the Speer # 13 manual listed for the J word for this round. With lighter powder charges I was unable to get it to cycle properly. The boolit you are looking at using isn't that much heavier and should work just fine with the same data. Just start light and work up and watch for trouble signs.

Graf also sells Largo and has it in stock. $16.99 / 100 - $295.63 / 2K.

FWIW in Hornady's 6th edition it offers 7.9gn of blue dot as the MAX for a 125 grn in a 38 SUPER AUTOMATIC!! This being a much hotter round than the 38ACP that just sounds SCARY!!
