I just got in from the Tulsa, OK gun show. Lotsa gouging going on. I noticed primers are showing up again. I picked up a carton (1000) of small pistol magnum primers for $31.00. Someone here posted they would be at the red castle gun range table. I stopped to say hello, no one had heard of Cast Boolits. I must have messed him. I did talk to two gentlemen there. We may be getting two new members. I hope so.

Billyb,

I got down to the lower level a little too late to catch you. My son and I were moving really fast as we were running out of time. Saw primers that were too high for me, maybe next time. I noticed that attendance was down which made it a lot nicer to get around at the show. I didn't notice much buying going on though, looks like the hoarding is over for now. Sorry I missed you.

Tom308: I actually found winchester large rifle primers for $25/1000. Powder Valley had a table on the lower level in the n/e corner of the building. They didn't have any winchester large pistol so I got Wolf large pistol a for $25/1000. Curious to see how well those work. That place was a madhouse. Don't usually got to the Wanemancher show just for that reason, but I was trying to sell a gun. Anyway, I got stocked up on primers.

Those are decent prices.

We have a gun shop here that advertises on one of the local talk radio stations. The ads must be expensive. The guy's charging LARGE bucks for powder and primers:

http://www.gunsetc.com/smokeless-powder-c-143_145.html

($33 - $54/pound or $282 - $349/8 lb)

http://www.gunsetc.com/rifle-c-143_152_154.html

($5.99 - $8.99/hundred (that's $60 - $90/thousand!))

http://www.gunsetc.com/pistol-c-143_152_153.html

($5.99/hundred)

There are MANY other places on town that have powder for just over $20/pound, and primers (when they have them) for in the $30 neighborhood. I don't know how he gets away with it, or for that matter, whether he even sells any at those prices.

Regards,

Stew
