Anyone have a recommended load for the Marlin 375 Win using the Ranch Dog 379 that weighs 235 grains? I can only find loads using 5744 and H4198. I ordered one of the last molds RD had and I've already cast and lubed a bunch. Just need to decide on a load to start with. RD's website indicates he developed loads using some other powders, but that data is no longer posted. Thanks.

Hornady,

I've worked with the following Hodgdon powders: Benchmark, H322, H4198, H4895, and H4227. I see H322 and H4198 as being the only real contenders. I've been hunting with this rifle, bullet and H322 all week. I shoot 36.0-grains for 1945 FPS. The load, in my rifle is extremely accurate. I use an OAL of 2.555" and crimp with the Lee FCD.

What powders do you have to work with? I've shot 28 different loads with the above powders so I'll try to help.
