I heard today from a bloke about using semolia as a substitute for cream of wheat.
Unfrotune-ately we don't get it here in OZ. Most people look at you strange...I asked a Canadian even and she was ...real...excited and asked ..can you get some!!!.

Unfortunately no.
I have no supply of shotgun filler polimer stuff either.

Semolia????

Just for the record I've seen a picture of a box of COW but whats it look like and what is it??
I presume somewhere between flour and chunky bits of shelled wheat kernels.
Cheers

It works better dry and uncooked.

If I can't shoot noth'n .
Can I pull the bullet and use the powder and primer to start a fire and cook the stuff to eat then???
Sort an instant survival ration.
May have to go from 30-30 to a 500 nitro for a decent feed but. :)

I use grits, but you might be able to use coarse (stone ground) corn meal.

I was doing some experimentation with reduced cast loads a 7x57mm Mauser a few years ago and didn't have any Cream of Wheat so I used cornmeal. My rounds smelled like tortillas cooking rather than pancakes. One works as well as the other and dacron pillow stuffing works better than both.

Your mileage, as always, may vary.

This is what I have.

Thats to the aditional imput.

I'm sure other newbees may need some of this info one day as well.

I'm getting @ 1" at 100 yrds with plain lubed and selected loads and dacron filler. Mild thou. Roughly 1035 fps
Trying to get some Paper patched loads to shoot somewhere near this accuracy level and a lot faster.

Thanks
Bruce
