:-D :-D :-D I found some more lead lastnight that a Gent was getting ready to haul to the scrap yard I got 261 ingots that weight a average of 6.5 to 7 pounds each for 1.00 per bar thats about 1700 pounds of lead alloy already mixed with 2 percent tin in ingots for 261.00 or about 15 cents a pound.[smilie=w: [smilie=w:



Sorry just had to gloat a little but would have been better if FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow I was not aware that tin was that expensive, what is linotype worth he has about 500 pounds of that along with some babbit

I gave .50 cents a lb for lino about five years ago. I thought I was stealing it then. You don't say what he is asking for it, but anything less than a dollar would be a reasonable buy in my book. What form is it in> Ingots? bars? type letters?
Babbit is questionable, you can not be sure what the alloy is. Unless it is certified, virgin alloy, I would pass on it.
