What can I use to blacken aluminum? I have tried the Birchwood Casey and it doesn't work all that hot.

If its just a touchup some type of matching paint is about the best you can do. If youre re-doing a piece entirely then you can have it anodized or any of the bake on finishes

I used to use Krylon Ultra Flat Black.
It worked pretty well, short of baking.
