From what I've read here a lot of people use alox to pan lube their boolits,
I also use this method with a Lee push through sizer.
I got to wondering if it would make a difference if I use a lubrisizer to get lube into the grooves, or just continue using the pan lube to lube the bearing surface of the boolit.
I cast for a 45 Colt and a 40 cal auto.

I got to thinking if the lube grooves had lube in them, it would form a seal when the boolit was on the way down the barrel.
Or would it make any difference.

you didn't mention the style of boolits you are using.
but if they are the lee style i'd just stick with the alox.

Sorry about that.
I'm using Lee moulds.
I've been thinking here lately about trying to find a used Star lubrisizer.
That way I don't have to lube then size then lube again.
I'm getting lazy in my old age.:bigsmyl2:

But if there is no other advantage to using a Star, then I'll probably stick with Alox.

I have a star and swear by it. The speed alone is worth it.

Plus Lathesmith will turn new dies for you.
