It is a 200gr SWC, I bought it off of ebay, and while I am waiting for it to arrive, I thought I would ask some questions. This mould is for a Springfield Armory Full Size SS Loaded 1911A1, in caliber 45(of course) that I traded for a couple of weeks back. I don't care much for jacketed bullets, so I am hoping that this bullet will be to the 45 ACP what my RCBS 270 SAA mould is to my 45 Colt, and that is a good accurate bullet with multiple applications. I spent a few hours this afternoon casting with the 270SAA, and a Lee 255gr RNFP mould, should have enough bullets for a weekend, going to try some of the 255s in the auto, see if it will shoot them.

Dave;
I have NOT shot the Lee bullet. However, it looks to be a close copy of the H&G #68 of which I have shot over 100,000 rounds in a 1911 .45 ACP. It is a great bullet and feeds extremely reliably in a properly made (or smithed) 1911.

The bullet works well at both target velocity and "hard ball equivalent" loads.

I head space on the bullet...

Thank you, that is what I was hoping to hear. FMJ just goes against my better judgement, it also does my pocketbook no favors.
