spent large primers as 224 gas checks?

I think that the cup is too thick and removing the anvil woould be a hassle. The used small rifle primers make a heck of a spreader pattern when loaded into a 12ga.!

Tried it once and they were too thick. Maybe someone has had better results than I did but it didn't work for me./beagle

i think they could be used to make a flat point on a 30 cal rifle boolit.

I'm with Beagle, I make gas checks with them and they are too thick even tho I made a tool that would turn them into checks. I shot them and the groups were lousy.
