How often does someone beagle a mold only to find that their gas checks will no longer fit on?
And is there a fix?

I've only beagled plain base moulds, so don't have an answer other than maybe using a small file to remove a bit of lead. Lot of work, that.

Removing some of the tape from the bottom part of the blocks will work sometimes. Annealing the gas checks and expanding the lip area is also worth trying.

The above post is correct. You can remove the tape adjacent to the GC shank and that may bring it back into tolerance. I've done this on front bands and it works as well./beagle
