Just a heads up. I picked up some range brass (.223), cleaned it up and started priming. Out of about 70 cases, I found three with very deep primer pockets. I removed the primers and crushed the cases. I don't know if the cases are unsafe but, I didn't want to shoot them in my rifle. The head stamp was ppu 223 rem. If you reload these, check them close.

I've loaded and shot lots of PPU without any problems

I've used PPU brass and never had any primer seating problems.

I've not shot any of this stuff yet. I will on the first clear day we have here. I'm sure it will work. I was just pointing out the noticeable difference in pocket depth. I don't know for sure if the DEEP pockets will cause any problems. I didn't measure the depth but, they were visibly deeper. Very noticeable when primed. A huge difference between these and American brass. My primers were Remington 6 1/2 small rifle primers. I did measure the primers. The primers were right on. The pockets were unevenly deep. I'm just not comfortable with the difference.
